Copyright in the commissioned work will remain with the artist. ArtPatron.com will be entitled to copy or reproduce the commissioned work in whatever manner it wishes for the purposes of publicity and promotion for itself and/or the artist. Users of ArtPatron.com may refer to works as inspiration for art commissions. Users may also send an Art Card of a work from the ArtPatron site. Exact duplicates of works for sale on ArtPatron.com are not allowed.
-
Existing Art Pieces ? The Art Patron has a minimum of 14 days after the piece is received to indicate the piece will be returned with no questions asked. The Art Patron will notify ArtPatron.com and the Artist the piece is being returned to the Artist. The Art Patron is responsible for shipping the art piece both ways. The Artist and Art Patron may negotiate a longer acceptance period but not a shorter one. Once the Artist indicates the piece has been returned ArtPatron.com will refund the escrow amount.
-
Art Commissions - The guarantee is between yourself and the artist. The custom nature of an Art Commission and the subjective nature of art makes it difficult for an Artist to provide a guarantee. The escrow will be released upon the time period agreed on and/ or delivery of the Art Commission - unless the Art Patron places it on hold. Both the Artist and the Art Patron will leave feedback about each other. This feedback is very valuable in a community! We hope you will enjoy your art collecting, and hope that ArtPatron.com will be of assistance to you in this process.

There are various ways that you can search for and view the works available, depending on whether you are actively seeking, for example, a certain subject or style, keeping an eye on what is available or just browsing with an open mind. Once you have found something you would like to buy, you should place it in your Shopping Basket and then proceed to Checkout. Please note that we require all buyers to be ArtPatron members and to be logged in - this is for your added security and helps us to counter any fraudulent transactions that might otherwise take place in your name. During the checkout process you will be asked to accept our Conditions for Buyers, enter your delivery and contact details and to select a payment option. All credit card transactions are conducted on SSL secure servers (look for the URL to change to www-sec.ArtPatron.com.com and for the unbroken padlock, or similar symbol, to appear in your browser (normally at the bottom).
-
The price payable for the commissioned work will be subject to any applicable GST and will be payable in installments during the course of the work in accordance with the artist"s normal procedure. We currently accept the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal. You can also make payments by certified cheque or by Direct Wire Transfer.
- Formation of Contract
| top |
-
Your order will initially be treated as an offer to buy your selected works, and will only be accepted once we have confirmed that the works are still available and that payment has been received. As soon as we have accepted your offer the contract to purchase comes into effect - this will typically take between one and three working days.
-
If you or any sitter cancels the commissioned work before it is completed, you will be required to pay such sum (taking into account payments already made) as will reward the artist for the work completed to the date of cancellation and all expenses incurred by the artist in connection with the commissioned work. The unfinished work will belong to the artist.
-
All works you purchase from us come with a 14 day Approval Period, which starts the day after you accept delivery of your ArtPatron.com works.
-
You are entitled to cancel your order, in part or in full, at any time prior to the works being dispatched to you, or if they fail to arrive within 30 days after the agreed delivery time (and we have not agreed a later delivery time with you). If, following delivery, you decide that something is not for you - or your house - you may return any work to ArtPatron.com by contacting us within the Approval Period and sending it back to the artist with a shipping company that has package tracking functionality, in the original packaging, within 14 days. You will be refunded in full less the shipping costs.
- Damaged and Incorrect Items
| top |
-
Please take a few moments to inspect the packaging prior to signing for, and accepting delivery of, your ArtPatron.com order. If the packaging is obviously damaged you should open it immediately, in the presence of the delivery company representative, before signing for it. Inspect the contents: if they are damaged you should either refuse to accept delivery or get a signed statement from the delivery company representative stating that the contents were damaged in transit. In both cases, please contact us immediately so that we can follow it up with the delivery company.
If you find that an item has been dispatched in a damaged state, or that the incorrect item has been dispatched, please contact us immediately and we will either arrange for the item to be repaired or replaced, or for you to receive a full refund including the cost of the return delivery.
-
